Growing Pressure on Industrialized Nations




There is a fairly strong chorus of folks carrying the message of 'climate equity' or 'balancing'. The general argument goes like this: the industrialized countries who have emitted most of the greenhouse gasses should have some basic obligation to assist developing countries with adaptation.   Look for this to remain a central hot-button topic in negotiations....predominately from the smaller/developing countries at the table. If we were to allocate 1/10 of our annual war budget for low-interest clean energy development loans we would go a very long way in bridging the divide while relieving pressures on dwindling resources. What is that worth? hmmmm......
